Electronic and Electro-acoustic music
Door number zero
This is a remix of audio elements created from a piece I did for the No Exit Ensemble in 2019 called Imaginary Doors. In both pieces audio from an English and a French-language film of Sartre's play "No Exit" (Huis Clos) are heard, along instrumental passages recorded by the players of the ensemble as well as purely electronic sounds.
On the shedding of skins
This piece is drawn from material I created for a dance work by Joan Meggitt and Antaeus Dance called Molt in 2009 (you can see excerpts in the "Music for Dance" page). The instrumental parts were performed by Sean Gabriel (flute), John Perrine (sax), and Kristen Docter (Vla).
Event Horizon |
This is another piece drawn from material from a piece I made for Antaeus Dance in 2014 called "Events leading to my Death" There is also excerpts for this on the "Music for Dance" page.
The Interpretation of Dreams, for Clarinet and electronic playback

This piece was from way back in 1996-9. I wrote it in a crummy apartment while I was woking a crummy tech-industry job and feeling crummy. It tells the story of a day and night in the life of someone much like me (as I was I mean). It starts mid-dream, then wake up, go to work, work, go home. Then dream all night of the day and of other things, then wake up. It was written for the amazing clarinetist Pat O'Keefe, and that's him on the recording.
